At JM Barnes Outreach Ministries, our priority is helping families stay in their homes. We provide emergency rental assistance to individuals and families facing financial hardship, helping them avoid eviction and housing instability.
Emergency Rental Assistance
When families are at risk of eviction, even a small amount of support can make the difference between stability and homelessness. We step in to provide rental assistance when funding is available, so families can focus on rebuilding their lives in a safe and stable home.
How It Works
- Apply – Submit your information and required documents through our intake form.
- Review – We carefully review your request and verify eligibility.
- Decision – If funding is available, we work directly with your landlord to provide assistance.
- Support – If we cannot help financially, we will connect you with community partners who may offer additional resources.
Looking Ahead
While our primary focus is rental assistance today, our long-term vision is to expand into additional services, including:
- Fair Housing Education and Advocacy – Equipping the community with tools to recognize discrimination, understand housing rights, and stand up for justice.
- Life Navigation Support – Helping families with applications for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, financial aid, and more.
- Education and Empowerment – Offering budgeting guidance, job search support, and workshops to strengthen families.
- Spiritual Care – Providing encouragement and prayer to uplift individuals in crisis.
