About the Founder

Janice M. Barnes, founder of JM Barnes Outreach Ministries, is passionate about helping individuals and families overcome housing instability. Having experienced homelessness herself as a single parent, she has a deep personal understanding of the challenges faced by those in financial crisis. With a master’s degree in psychology and extensive experience in social services volunteer work, Janice has dedicated her life to empowering those in need.

Through her volunteer work, she has supported low-income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities by assisting them in accessing vital resources like public assistance programs, housing support, and career development services. Janice’s hands-on experience in the community drives her mission to provide both immediate aid and long-term solutions, helping individuals regain stability and work toward self-sufficiency.

Her vision is to build a stronger, more resilient community where everyone has the opportunity for a safe and stable home.
